1959
The “Commerciale Tubi Acciaio” is founded, in an area of 45.000sqm in Grugliasco, on the outskirts of Torino, headquarters of the Group to date.
1996
CTA introduces stainless steel pipes in its stock, adding another range of product to the petrochemical industry.
2003-2008
CTA acquires an operative center in Bergamo outskirts, takes up the activity of the local distributor and becomes supplier of accessories as fittings and flanges.
CTA acquires from Tenaris Dalmine 20.000sqm area in Padua, stabilizing its presence in the North-Eastern Italy area. CTA incorporates a new company located in Hong Kong, CTA Asia Pacific, as a development center in Asia.
A French hub is established, currently based in Paris.

2010-2015
New companies are incorporated in different locations: CTA Iberia (Spain) and CTA Caspian Sea (Kazakhstan), CTA Poland and CTA Tianjin.
2014 new 45.000sqm location in Grezzago (MI) with commercial offices and warehouse.

2016-2017
In the context of a market repositioning:
- A new office is established in Genoa by corporating former Sideco.
- CTA takes over the majority of TAD Long Products S.p.A., a company with a consolidated experience in the distribution of stainless steel long products.
- E.I.T.I. – European Institute of Technical Inspections – is incorporated.
- A representative office is opened in the UAE, located in Dubai.
2019-2020
2019: CTA celebrates its 60th anniversary
2020 it’s the year of the pandemic: the world meets Covid-19. CTA continues to grow:

- the company forms a strategic alliance with Raccortubi, manufacturer and distributor of piping materials in special steels
- and acquires, through TAD Long Products, the majority shares of Alco SAS, a French company active since 1979 in the distribution of seamless stainless-steel pipes and fittings.
